Community Child Rights Monitoring Committee (CCRMC)

Objective:
To create community based structures to monitor Child rights status in the community and sustain the programmes initiated by Arunodhaya.

  • Generating awareness on adolescent issues

  • Personal development of adolescents

  • Supporting adolescents facing problems

This project also helps the children to be active, to bring out their hidden talents, and it lowers drop outs from school. The children from the Child Labourers Centre and Guided Learning Centre later become members of Children Sangam

Community Empowerment

History:
This project emerged in 2006 as a means to sustain the interventions of Arunodhaya towards promoting child rights with the participation of the community.

Target Group:
Representatives of Children Sangam, Self Help Group, Youth Forum and local leaders

Impacts:

  • The basic fundamental necessities had been taken care (for example: electricity, water, garbage disposal…)

  • The problems between families had been solved

  • Child labour free society

  • Promotion of child rights

  • Getting solution at area level problems

  • Promoting community participation

  • People from different field can involve and work together and find solution
